Torre del Mar Club is an independent local guide to Torre del Mar and the Axarquía coast of Málaga province, Spain. It exists because the information visitors and new residents actually need — which beach has shade, whether there's a train (there isn't), what a week of food really costs, which bus goes where — was scattered across outdated pages, aggregator listings and forum threads from 2014.
We publish one thing: practical, dated, specific local knowledge about a 30 km stretch of coast, written by people who spend their time on it.
Beach descriptions, chiringuito recommendations, bus routes, market timings and walking routes come from being in Torre del Mar and the surrounding Axarquía villages. Where we haven't personally checked something recently, we say so on the page rather than filling the gap with guesswork.
Spanish coastal prices move with the season, so we publish realistic ranges (menú del día €12–€16, sun lounger €5–€7) rather than a single figure that will be wrong by next summer. Directory and guide pages carry a last-updated date. If a date looks stale to you, treat the detail as indicative and tell us.
Business listings and advertising are clearly separated from guides. A restaurant, hotel or campsite cannot buy its way into a recommendation, a ranking or a 'best of' page. Paid listings and display advertising are labelled as such, and advertising revenue never changes what a guide says.
Our trip planner and local concierge are clearly labelled AI features and are there to help you plan quickly. The guides, directory entries and articles are human-written and human-edited. We do not publish unreviewed machine-generated pages.
Photography is either our own, licensed stock, or openly licensed material (for example Wikimedia Commons) used within its licence terms with attribution. Every credited image appears on our attributions page with its source and licence. We do not scrape or hotlink other people's photographs.
If a bus route changes, a restaurant closes or we simply get something wrong, email us and we will fix the page. Corrections that materially change advice get an updated date on the page.

Three sources, all disclosed. Display advertising on some pages. Paid business listings and sponsorships, which are labelled and kept out of editorial rankings. And a paid relocation kit for people moving to the area. We do not sell reviews, we do not take payment to remove criticism, and we do not publish sponsored articles dressed up as guides. Read our privacy policy for how advertising cookies work, and our image attributions for photo licensing.
