Torre del Mar is a coastal town in Málaga province, Andalucía, southern Spain, 30 km east of Málaga city on the Axarquía stretch of the Costa del Sol. Roughly 22,000 people live here year-round. It has about 3 km of dark-sand Blue Flag beach, one of the widest promenades on the coast, a Tuesday street market and a reputation among Spaniards — not tour operators — for the best espetos in the province.
It's a Spanish town first and a holiday town second. Families walk the paseo at 9pm, the chiringuitos smoke with sardines from noon, and out of season the place doesn't shut — the supermarkets, gyms, dentists and schools are all here because people live here. The architecture is plain 1970s–2000s apartment blocks rather than whitewashed alleys; the pay-off is a flat, walkable town where everything is five minutes from the sand and prices are set for locals.

Fly into Málaga (AGP). A taxi or private transfer is 35–45 minutes and roughly €55–€70. On public transport, take the airport train to Málaga María Zambrano, then the Avanza M-260 coastal bus (about 55 minutes, under €5). If you want real Andalusian coastal life, cheap and excellent seafood and a beach you can walk for 3 km, yes. If you want nightclubs, luxury resorts or a picture-postcard old town, Nerja or Marbella will suit you better.

Those are common misspellings of Torre del Mar — 'the tower of the sea', named after the watchtower on the seafront.
