Playa de Poniente in Torre del Mar — wide dark-sand beach on the western side of the paseo. Family-friendly, calm sea, easy parking and chiringuitos.
Playa de Levante — the eastern beach of Torre del Mar, closer to the lighthouse and the Río Vélez. Quieter, with a more local feel.
Playa El Hornillo — a small cove just west of Torre del Mar, between Almayate and Caleta de Vélez. Calm water, sheltered, less touristy.
